The tiles were made as part of a larger series that was divided into three groups; a darker, heavier grouping inspired by fungal, microbial matter that live in the soil, a lighter brightly coloured group showing more floral and seed pod forms and a middle group with more emphasis on leaves stems etc. although there was plenty of crossover between the groups.
