Making Waves 4

"Making Waves" is inspired by the undulating curves, graceful arcs, and fluid lines that evoke the dynamic nature of the ocean. Each piece is crafted to capture the essence of a wave, with its ebb and flow, rise and fall. Etched patterns on the surface add texture and depth and convey movement and energy. The natural colour of the clay remains unglazed allowing the curves and lines to take center stage without distraction. The white color also adds a sense of purity and simplicity, enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Through the natural and malleable medium of clay, I merge art and nature, forging a connection between the two. Within this realm, I draw my inspiration, exploring themes of femininity, spatial philosophy, and the interconnectedness between humanity and nature. Delving into the depths of these concepts, I aim to challenge conventional notions of vessels and space, giving rise to art that is not only expressive, sensual, and emotive but also resonates with the intricate topography of the world around us.

At the heart of my artistic exploration lies the human body, with its organic sensations serving as a captivating focal point. The tactile qualities of clay fascinate me, as they enable me to evoke a sense of touch and establish a profound connection with each piece, infusing them with subtle symbolism.

 Shipping + Insurance

 All Vessels + Sticks orders are packaged by the artists themselves and shipped directly to you, the collector. This process allows us to reduce overall shipping costs as well as our carbon footprint.  

Local or international charges vary depending on the location of the artist and the collector.  Please note that multiple shipping charges will apply if you order works from more than one artist. 

All ceramic artworks are ready to ship. Please allow 1 to 3 days for an order to be processed and the artwork to be prepared for shipping.  If an artist is away, longer shipping times will apply and adjusted timing will be indicated on the artwork page.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated based on the size and weight of the package, domestic or international carrier service requirements and origination and destination address. An estimate will be provided upon checkout.  Some artworks may require additional packing, handling or special shipping arrangements. If this is the case, you will be directed to a member of our team to receive a shipping estimate and to coordinate details. 

Taxes and Duties

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes incurred when the delivery reaches your destination. The charges of import duties and taxes must be paid by the recipient of the order.  Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and we have no way of knowing what the charges will be in advance. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
