Opening In-Person Ceramic Art Gallery for November
Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey to date, and welcome to anyone new! We launched Vessels + Sticks online in 2022 with a mission to present contemporary ceramic artwork by artists from around the world. The purpose of launching a gallery online was to generate awareness of the breadth and depth of contemporary ceramic artwork created by artists from around the world and to provide equal access to anyone in the world who is interested in purchasing the work.
We continue to work towards these goals daily but we also recognize that complementing the online experience with in person opportunities is valuable. The ability to touch, lift and view the artworks in person is challenging to replicate online. In addition, a physical space allows us to provide context and develop a narrative about the works that facilitates a strong sense of connection. It is for these reasons that we are so excited to be opening an in-person ceramic art gallery in Toronto, for the month of November.
We will be located at 1120 Yonge St (2nd Floor) in The Lobby by Heaps Estrin, a community-driven, lifestyle oriented space which is part of the Heaps Estrin Real Estate office. The Lobby hosts a number of art shows and its main floor retail collection of beautiful housewares and furniture is not to be missed. We are thrilled to have our own space on the second floor of this beautifully renovated building that is perfect to display a collection of ceramic artwork by both Canadian and International artists. We will be creating mini-exhibitions, hosting artist talks and we will be on site during retail hours to welcome any and all interested members of the community.
