WHY VESSELS + STICKS?
OUR CURATION
Vessels + Sticks provides one lens into the international world of contemporary ceramics. We aim to provide access to ceramic artworks that are:
- Visually and conceptually appealing to you
- Participating in a conversation about the world at large, often with acknowledgment or a nod to the past (in terms of history, culture, technique, etc.) We’re interested in sharing artwork from many different countries to provide a window into the lives, concerns, priorities, and physical places of the artists and people who live there. By providing a range of works by different artists, in the same medium (ceramics), we can begin to understand the history of the craft, unique regional influences, and experiences, as well as universal similarities experienced by those creating and experimenting with clay.
OUR ARTISTS
Vessels + Sticks has partnered with ceramic artists from around the world to bring you a curated selection of beautiful, one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork by artists who each have a distinct and contemporary point of view. When you purchase from Vessels + Sticks, you are supporting an artist directly.
DO YOU ACCEPT COMMISSIONED PROJECTS?

ARE YOU OPEN TO HEARING FROM NEW CERAMIC ARTISTS?
We will be looking to offer ceramic artworks by new artists regularly. At the moment, we are interested in one-of-a-kind original artworks that meet the criteria described in Our Curation above. Please contact us at info@vesselsandsticks.com to provide information about yourself and a few photos, or links to photos, of your work. We will respond as soon as possible. Please give us some time!
WHAT IS AN ORIGINAL ARTWORK?
All of our artworks are original, meaning each one is handmade and unique. Some artists may make multiples of one design, but each piece will vary slightly from another.
WHAT IS A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY?
A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) contains details about the Artwork and the artist that made the work confirming that the work is genuine and authentic. The Certificate of Authenticity is provided to the owner of the Artwork upon their receipt of it.
Please click here for details.
WHY DOES VESSELS + STICKS ARTISTS PROVIDE A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY?
A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) contains important information about the artist and the making of the artwork that may be important in determining the provenance and relative value of the work should it be sold later on. We believe that the ceramic works that our artists create have value and therefore, the original details of the works should be captured. Currently, a COA is still the most highly regarded and accepted way to verify an artwork.
PAYMENTS
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
