ARTIST STATEMENT
After many years of education in Fine Arts at the “Terre et Feu” art school in Paris, I decided to immerse myself in the world of ceramics by spending a year as an apprentice in the studio of ceramists Caroline Alves and Ulrike Weiss. In June of 2016, I started working in a studio in Romainville (outskirts of Paris). This is where I practice and develop my own style. I realized how much I enjoyed the ceramic coil technique. This technique allows me to keep control of the forms and gives me a real freedom in the creation process. My preferred choice of clay is sandstone because of its rusticity.
I mainly create non-utilitarian containers that I consider as sculptures. I make very small series of which each piece differs from one another. Depending on which clay I use, I then decide or not to use glaze. My palette is quite basic, using only : black, white, green/blue and lately an earthy red.
My inspiration comes from the magical volcanic landscape of Auvergne in the centre of France where I live part of the year. I try to convey in my work the force, the beauty, the soft lines and harmony of this magnificent volcanic landscape.

Shipping + Insurance
All Vessels + Sticks orders are packaged by the artists themselves and shipped directly to you, the collector. This process allows us to reduce overall shipping costs as well as our carbon footprint.
Local or international charges vary depending on the location of the artist and the collector. Please note that multiple shipping charges will apply if you order works from more than one artist.
All ceramic artworks are ready to ship. Please allow 1 to 3 days for an order to be processed and the artwork to be prepared for shipping. If an artist is away, longer shipping times will apply and adjusted timing will be indicated on the artwork page.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated based on the size and weight of the package, domestic or international carrier service requirements and origination and destination address. An estimate will be provided upon checkout. Some artworks may require additional packing, handling or special shipping arrangements. If this is the case, you will be directed to a member of our team to receive a shipping estimate and to coordinate details.
Taxes and Duties
International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes incurred when the delivery reaches your destination. The charges of import duties and taxes must be paid by the recipient of the order. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and we have no way of knowing what the charges will be in advance. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
